listed by the Guinness World Records as the tallest living man, shakes
hands with He Pingping, 19, a 0.73-metre (2 feet, 5 inches) tall man,
in Baotou, north China's Inner Mongolia . He is applying for the

DINOSAURS
Dinosaurs had bumpy skin, similar to the skin of an alligator or a
flightless emu bird. But their skin color remains a my stery to
paleontologists today.
"When it comes to color, all we can say is that they were most likely
as colorful as birds because birds are their descendants," said
Montana State University paleontologist Jack Horner. "Visual display
is very important to animals that are active in daylight. Most
reptiles, including almost all the birds, are diurnal and therefore
use color for display and camouflage."
In contrast, mammals initially evolved as nocturnal animals and are
therefore mostly color-blind. Most mammals, even today, communicate by
sniffing one another, said Horner, rather than looking at colorful
flashy signs.
"Dinosaurs were most likely very colorful, and like birds, the males
were probably more colorful than the females," Horner told
LiveScience.

Britney turned 26
Britney for real of reel, Britney just celebrated her 26th birthday
without any mischief, a few selected circle of friends and a chocolate
cake.
No tabletop dancing, no outfit swaps and no walking around barefoot.
Britney Spears -- who turned 26 Sunday - celebrated birthday at the
Scandinavian Style Mansion in Bel Air on Saturday with cousin Alli
Sims, pal Sam Lutfi and her back-on BFF Paris Hilton.
The gang sang "Happy Birthday" as Spears blew out candles on a small
chocolate birthday cake. Two enormous body guards shielded her table.
It was a night to remember for the birthday girl, who scored $30,000
in leather and fur coats -- including a $7,000 fur-trimmed white
Berglund.
"She was very calm, nice, friendly," Berglund told Usmagazine.com. "I
know she's had some bad times here, but I think she looked really
great."
After leaving around 12:45 a.m., Spears and crew continued the
festivities at The Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. Hilton was spotted
leaving at 3:50 a.m.
Spears spent her actual birthday Sunday with sons Sean Preston, 2, and
Jayden James, 14 months.

China - Miss World
Two billion people around the globe were expected to tune in Saturday
when more than 100 of the world's most beautiful and talented women
vie to become Miss World 2007.
The 57th edition of the contest is being held on World AIDS Day as
organisers want the annual showcase of gloss and glitz, seen by
critics as a sexist throwback, to help increase awareness of the fight
against HIV/AIDS.
Hometown fans will be cheering on Miss China -- Zhang Zilin, a
23-year-old secretary from Beijing -- hoping she can live up to her
billing as one of the pre-contest favourites and bring home the crown.
Standing at 182 centimetres (5 foot 9 inches), she is the tallest of
the 106 contestants and has been mobbed by supporters each time she
enters the hotel complex where the entrants are staying two to a room.
Most contestants were keeping a low-profile as they made last minute
preparations ahead of the final judging, although a few were to be
seen around the hotel talking to family or, in a few cases such as
Miss USA, their boyfriends. Contestants are not allowed to be married.
Ada Aimee De La Cruz of the Dominican Republic is hotly tipped by
British bookmakers to be the biggest threat to Miss China's chances,
and has been nearly as popular with the camera-wielding locals.
Julia Morley, chairwoman of the British-based Miss World Organisation,
declared Sanya, which has hosted four of the last five pageants, the
home of the contest.
"We are not here for 2008 because we are in Ukraine," she said. "But
we hope to be here on special visits, coming back all the time and
giving our support to Sanya -- our home," she told reporters.
Morley was accompanied at the media conference by reigning Miss World
Tatana Kucharova of the Czech Republic, who is due to hand over her
crown to the 2007 winner on Saturday night and look back at her
achievements of the past year.
Miss Nepal, Sitashma Chand, is another hoping to woo the nine judges,
who will rate the contestants in a number of categories including
style, physical fitness, intelligence and beauty.
"Nepal has only been in Miss World for about 10 years and at first it
wasn't that big, but now it's starting to get very popular," said the
24-year-old, who is a rank outsider with bookmakers.
After spending the past month in China doing pre-contest shows, events
and publicity, some entrants admitted they were relieved the final had
arrived.
"We are all really, really tired but we're keeping each other going,"
said 20-year-old Miss England, beauty therapist Georgia Faye Horsley,
as her parents looked on proudly.
"All the contestants are good friends and I've definitely made some
friends for life," she said, adding: "To get this far is amazing and a
wonderful achievement, and it's one of the best experiences of my
life."

Nokia 6500
One of the latest models of Nokia that promises a wide array of
features is in the market. it is sleek and user friendly
It's outward appearance does not scream for attention. It's features
are those you might expect from a Nokia smartphone, with little else
to make you tinkle in your drawers. Yet the Nokia 6500 Slide is an
incredibly solid slider phone. The 6500 Slide does not feel like other
slider phones that threaten fall apart after a few days of use. In
fact, this phone could probably withstand a handful of hard knocks.
The sturdy body holds together a good many features including a
digital camera and 3G capability. It is not the smallest phone there
is at 97mm x 46.5mm x 12mm. Yet, it is reasonably compact enough to
fit comfortably in your hand or in your pocket. At the same time, at
125g, it feels neither too light nor too heavy.
The space on the front panel is maximized with a screen measuring a
good 36mm x 48mm. There is no dedicated power button, the phone is
turned on and off by holding down the End Call button. Controls are
simple and external buttons are limited to two selection keys, a 5-way
navigational button, call, end call, volume controls, and a camera
button. Opening the slider reveals the alphanumeric pad for dialing
and inputting text.
